Marriott is also buying a majority stake in the Hilton brand, which it bought from Marriott International last year.
The company is now selling off the Marriott hotel brand, as it’s sold off the hotel brands of the Marriott properties it’s selling off.
In addition to the hotels, Marriott International will also sell off its online travel services, including its travel agency.
The companies have announced that the hotels will be sold for a combined total of $7 billion, and that they will remain part of Marriott International until 2019.
